Whit became Managing Director of Brokerage for The Piedmont Group in 2007. In 2017, he formed Piedmont Brokerage to better serve the advisors his team partners with, and offer more carriers, products and services. Whit graduated from Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA with a B.A. in Mass Communication/Public Relations.

Since beginning his career in 2005, Whit has served in the following industry leadership roles: 2011-2012 President of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), 2015-2016 President of MassMutual Brokerage Advisory Board, Georgia Insurance Commissioner’s Life, Annuity and Long-Term Care Advisory Committee, a member of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) and membership in AALU.

He has also been a featured speaker at industry symposiums and has appeared on the radio and in print regarding the importance of insurance planning, product features and industry innovation. He has been involved in several other insurance ventures, such as the creation of North American Senior Benefits, which was acquired by Integrity Marketing in 2019, as well as PhysicianDisabilityQuotes.com which focuses on offering disability income insurance plans to physicians via a digital platform.

Whit and his wife, Nicole, live in Brookhaven, GA with their son, Palmer, daughter, Mona and dog, Humphrey. When he finds time, he enjoys golf, snow skiing, fishing, spending time on their family farm and coaching his kids in sports. Active in his community, Whit has served on the Board of Trustees at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, the Board of Little Nancy Creek Park and as the past President of the Touchdown Club of Atlanta.
